Yokohama type pneumatic rubber fender, because the origin is in
Yokohama, Japan, so people often use this name. But it is also
called boat ball.
Pneumatic rubber ball is an updated product of the ship fender that
is popular in the world today. It uses compressed air as a buffer
medium to make the ship have a softer collision avoidance effect
when it is berthing.
The main function is to buffer the collision between ships and
protect the hull; and it can be anchored to the dock to buffer the
collision of the dock with the ship.
When the hull collides with the hull, the pneumatic rubber fender
can better protect the hull and reduce the impact. When the ship
docks at the dock, it is also the above principle.
