T-head Bollard Features
“Tee Bollard”, “T-bollard”, this design has a top shaped like a
“T”. Hence, the name. Very prominent in many parts of the world due
to its simplicity and it gets the job done well up to 300 tonnes.
Suitable for steeper rope angles.
The bollard is designed and selected according to the berth
capacity and the structure of the wharf to meet the requirements ofsafe, reliable and easy-to-use operations such as ship leaving the
dock, berthing, shifting and turning around. The bollard is
composed of shell, anchor rod, nut, washer, anchor plate and core
packing. The bollard is divided into cast iron (HT200) and cast steel (ZG230-450), specification model: 50KN-2000KN .
According to usage, there are normal type bollards, storm bollards,
trial bollards, etc. Generally, the center of the normal
typebollard is about 0.5 ~ 0.8m away from the front line, which is
too close, so it is easy to be hit by the ship when approaching
andleaving, and it is not safe for the cable operation. Too far
behind, hindering the loading and unloading machinery and
damagingthe cable. As there are electrical boxes and other
facilities at the front edge of the ship-dressing and
ship-repairing wharf, itis required that the bollard be a little
farther from the front line, which is about 0.8 ~ 1.0 meters.
Storm bollards are used formooring ships during storms, and are
generally located behind docks. Some ports don't have storm
bollards because there is littlechance of typhoon, or ships don't
take shelter in the harbor when there is strong wind. In some
ports, in order not to hinder theoperation of loading and unloading
transportation machinery, storm bollards are not set up at the rear
of wharves, but the size ofnormal type bollards is increased so
that they can also be used in strong winds.
